We provide specialist medical oncology and haematology services for patients with cancer and haematological conditions. We aim to support cancer patients on the Sunshine Coast through initial diagnosis and assessment, development of an individual treatment plan and by providing cancer care throughout ongoing treatment. 

We also provide a full range of clinical haematology services for patients with benign and malignant haematological conditions.

We acknowledge that a diagnosis of cancer can be a difficult and overwhelming time, and our friendly staff is available to guide you during this time. Coastal Cancer Care is dedicated to providing professional, up-to-date treatment, a friendly face and clear communication.

Coastal Cancer Care provides comprehensive care for a broad range of cancers. Our specialists are experienced in all aspects of managing cancer patients, including initial staging and assessment, chemotherapy administration, management of symptoms (benign and malignant) and other supportive therapies such as blood transfusions.

Our facilities

When you visit our cancer care clinic on the Sunshine Coast, we can provide you with all the information you require in a supportive and relaxing atmosphere. We are able to facilitate all the tests and treatments you require in a way that makes the process as easy for you as possible.

Our new consulting rooms opened at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital in December 2013, providing improved access to quality cancer care services across the Sunshine Coast.

Clinical trials

Coastal Cancer Care is proud to partner with Ramsay Health in conducting a range of clinical trials locally for our patients. Clinical trials provide the opportunity to access exciting new cancer treatments and improving care provided to our patients.  We accept referrals for both private and public patients for consideration of clinical trials, private health insurance is not required and there are no out of pocket expenses for trial treatments.

Supporting your care

All our patients have access and support from  the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital's  Cancer Care Navigation Service.

Cancer Care Navigators are specialist nurses who have extensive experience in looking after people with cancer. They work alongside your specialist and multidisciplinary team to coordinate all aspects of your care, and ensure you have access to support services when you need some extra help and guidance for you or your loved ones.

Our patients can access a range of allied health support on-site through the Ramsay Health Plus program, providing physiotherapy support, rehabilitation programs, dietitian advice and a range of other support services.
